Our Centre’s Rooms
Our Toddler room children are aged from 2 months to 3 years old. We have a capacity of 15 children per day with 4 caring educators. Our toddler room team leader has been employed at the service for 17 years.
We are very flexible in this room and we provide a flexible and stimulating environment. Each child’s routines from home are incorporated into our routine to provide a high quality of care. Educators in the room provide a number of activities for the appropriate age of each individual child. Educators work together with parents on their child’s development and independence skills.
In the Pre-kinder room we work together with parents to extend on their children’s overall development. We have a capacity of 15 children per day with 1 Qualified Early Childhood Educator, this age group is from 3 years old to 4 years of age.
Our aim for our 3 to 4 year olds is to extend on their self-help skills, social development and confidence with their peers and educators. We support the children by engaging them in play and allowing them to have a voice, visually and listening to their individual interest and needs.
As part of our exciting program, we annual choose a room mascot (teddy) for children to take turns in taking home, we encourage children to take care of the mascot and share their home environment.
Our kindergarten room is run by our Qualified Kinder Teacher who holds a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching at our service for 8 years.
This room can fit up to 15 children each day and has the 1 kinder teacher who works fulltime running the program.
All children are engaged in various experiences, incursions and excursions throughout the year. We also fund a dance program that runs all year long on a fortnightly basis. We believe these activities help children gain the confidence that is required for their first year of school.
We also have a school readiness program incorporated into the program, which is set out to encourage children to be confident learners. We believe that your child’s social skills are at most importance in this year of kinder. Our aim is for the individual child to gain these skills by providing them with challenging activities, following their interests and learning through play.
